The past and present are meticulously intertwined at the Bradley Park Hotel – and the hotel boasts of an opulent past. In the 1880’s, one of the greatest gamblers of all time, Cornel E. R. Bradley, established the Beach Club, billed as the “most exclusive casino in the world with the most expensive restaurant on Earth.” Bradley, nicknamed “Mr. Lucky”, built the hotel in 1924 to accommodate the casino patrons of the adjacent Beach Club in style and pamper them as royalty.
Its sheer decadence placed it permanently on the map. Today, the Bradley Park Hotel is designated as a historical landmark by the Palm Beach Historical Society. Its Mediterranean Revival architecture imparts a gracious, tropical lifestyle, complete with a central courtyard, café tables and a trickling fountain. Arched entryways and expansive suites opening to landscaped balconies complete the experience. Still accommodating to guests of all kinds, the hotel is a haven for those seeking a luxurious stay. Warm and homelike, yet deliciously plush, it allows honeymoon’s to flourish, snowbirds to make their getaways and executives to meet and play on some of Palm Beach’s finest championship golf courses.
The Bradley Park Hotel still maintains the prestigious location it held since the early days of Palm Beach, one block from Royal Poinciana Way and less than two blocks from the warm sands of the Atlantic Ocean. Next door, however, what once was the most expensive place on earth is now a beautifully manicured park on the intracoastal waterway where Palm Beach’s guests and residents may relax – for free!
